Pirene's Fountain
For the poetry lovers among you - the lovely Ami Kaye from the poetry ezine Pirene's Fountain showcases my work - in a rare combo, both fantasy and poetry! - in the new issue, which has been released today. And there are a few poems, including recent ones from my upcoming book, in the current issue.

Ooo, I'm definately going to have to check out your poetry!!
I have a question, do you think you could give me the name of a reliable website where I can purchase The Singing from Australia when it comes out? I live in the US, but A: the books come out sooner there, and b: the covers are way waaaay cooler looking! If you could I would appreciate it!
No matter how long I have to wait, *sigh* I can't WAIT to read The Singing!!!
Alison, I read The Common Flesh. I literally almost cried it was so beautiful. I absolutely LOVE that poem, especially the Imitations part.Attempts at Being was wonderful too. I'm going to have to buy one your poetry books now and read more. I'll have to add that to my wishlist.....
Anyway, it was wonderful. PLease don't stop writing!
Waiting for The Singing,
Seneca
Hey there,
I had an interesting conversation with a promotions girl @ borders on Monday. I asked her if she knew the release date for the singing. She replied "Well it should be out very soon coz I've got the promo stuff in my book to put up this week" (she may have said "next week" but I got a bit excited :) Anyway she then said that normally means it's coming out the week after.... which is, now that I think about it, most likely the end of June as mentioned in previous comments. I read the new 1st chapter, now I have to wait! What happens to the "old" first 4 chapters? Did they get changed or are they still in??
I've been having some trouble with opening the website with the sample chapters on it, do any of you know of a different site that has the chapters?
I found the four sample chapters on SFFWorld, but apparently there is a new chapter out. Anyone know where I can find that one?
So....I clicked on a link in a previous blog post of yours that referred me to the Walker Books site. After a little poking around I ran across your pic....WHOA! You're hot! :) I'm sorry...I expected to see someone more...bookish. I don't mean to demean you in any way, believe me! I think you are great! I hope this comes across as complimentary...because that is how it is intended.
Well...this has nothing to do with your post. But I was wondering if you have the full version of the Lay of Andomian and Beruldh (or whatever it's called)? I'm working on composing music to go with it, and it'd be nice to have all the verses. :)
Thanks!
Pure evil? Moi? I'm so glad you liked The Singing, it was the book I was most scared of writing!
I am, er, bookish. That's a very flattering and - I have to admit it, and it's Not My Fault - slightly outdated pic, taken in 2000... but thanks anyway...! (Now I have to ensure we never meet, to preserve my Mystery...)
...and Passionblack, here I have to shamefacedly admit that what's in the book is all there is. It's brilliant that you're composing music, though. Let me know if you upload it, and I'll link to it!
I feel like such an idiot! I just read your last post and realized that the link to the new chapter was right there.
Anyway, I'm trying to coax my mom into ordering The Singing from Australia for me, seeing as I'd otherwise have to wait till next year.
