Well this isn't the place to do this most likely but I've been trying to find a place to ask questions just about characters in the stories. I had 2 questions.
1. What is Maerad's elemental name? It appears that even she never discovered it in the books and I was just wondering. And
2. What is Cadvan's Truename? We learned Maerad's, Hem's, and Saliman's but we never learned Cadvan's. If you could answer my questions I would be eternally thankful. Thank You Ms. Croggon!

I'm going to do this again because I'm not sure if it left the message the first time. I had 2 questions from the Pellinor Novels. First, what is Maerad's elemental name? It was never revealed. And 2, what is Cadvan's TrueName? Maerad's, Cai's, and Saliman's were all revealed but Cadvan's wasn't. Thank you for your time and I hope for any answer you can give me!

Hi Kei23 - sorry about that. You might have got lost in the spam folder! There are answers. Maerad's Elemental name was never discovered, so nobody knows (she didn't have her powers long enough to find out what is was). And Cavdan's Truename is Inareskai, meaning Stormcloud in the Speech. As to be revealed in new introductions to the forthcoming reissue of the Pellinor books in the UK.

I just wanted to ask a Q. do you think the Pellinor series will be made into a movie/movie series ?

Hi Innoa - people often ask me this! Sadly, it's not up to me. No, there are no plans for a film.

Okay well that is sort of a bittersweet answer for me XD. A movie would would give your books the recognition which they well deserve but it can also become overrated and undervalued. But (just in case) if ever a movie is made, I implore you to be there to pick the cast and make sure it does not go the way of...books I have loved that shall go nameless XD. I love the Pellinor series over any other I have ever read, I'm not sure why but it captivates me and entrances me like no other books :]. (I actually thought it was real, silly me, but when I was found it wasn't I was shattered, but at the same time I was amazed at the ingenious ideas you came up with for the book :]) Uhmm...what was my point ? Oh right ! If they ever do consider to make a movie, please be there for all the decisions they make that affect the movie; I don't wanna see my favourite series become anything else than breathtaking :).

Thank you for replying ^^ and t/y for reading this long message..if you did XD

Also I find it cool that you're from Melbourne as well :D

Alas, writers are the bottom of the heap when it comes to movies. JK Rowling is a notable exception, and maybe you have to be that famous! If it ever comes to it, I too hope it's done well. We will see!

Yes, Melbourne is definitely cool!

Alison Croggon. I am dissapointed. Cadvan is my phone wallpaper for goodness sake. I've been studing the Speech and the Treesong runes. And, by the Light!, you are the author. You do get a say in whether your books get made into movies. I've been telling people how good your books are.

:) Well, if you know a few multimillionaire film producers, send them my way.
