Who says fantasy is mediaeval?
I have always said my characters have a life of their own. And they just proved it - they have their own Facebook pages! Imagine my surprise when one Cadvan Lirigon, looking rather more ruggedly handsome than I anticipated, asked to be my friend. He's a "Dark ass-kicker" who enjoys "a good game of pool". Hem and Dernhil (who seems to have generated his own little fanclub) have their own pages too. They're all loyal viewers of a tv show called Days of Our Bards (wot, no Dr Who?) Wow. I look forward keenly to further revelations...

OMG you are BRILLIANT Allyson Croggon!!!!! That is like the best idea ever!!!! I love your books!!! :)
Well (blushing modestly) - it weren't exactly my idea. It just kind of happened.
maybe so, but i still LOVE your books. They are the best ever. I can't wait for The Singing to come out!
Alison Croggon,
You really are the best. I mean, you replied to my comment! (I'm the same girl who commented earlier on your characters having facebook pages.) You are a celebrity to me! You are a celebrity! You are so amazing! It's really cool that you have a blog. I blog too. This is such a big deal to me, I've read a lot of books, but yours are by far the best. Harry Potter used to be my favorite for a long time, until i read your books. My favorite school is probably Busk, but i also liked Innail. The Crow was really dark, but i loved that book also! I can't believe Maerad fell in love with the Winkering... wow. I can't wait for the singing to come out- the suspense is killing me! I love how you put so much poetry and song into your books. When i read them it's like i'm in a different world. I just get lost in the travels of Maerad and Cadvan, or the adventures of Hem, Irc, and Salaman. I love you Alison Croggon! You truly are amazing! :D

I won't say I'm your biggest fan, because I may not be, but I really am a huge fan of you!
Your books are right up alongside The Lord of the Rings on my bookshelf! :) The Books of Pellinor also inspired me to write my own fantasy books (I made sure not to steal any of your ideas) and if luck is still with me, I might be published in the not so distant future.
Keep up the beautiful writing!
Oh, and one more thing. I know you're like ubber-busy, but would you mind checking out my blog? It's on my profile: That Blog You Visit on Rainy Days. And if you don't, I understand. I myself am on a writing deadline and I know how it feels to have to deal with tons of pressure.
*Blushing even more* Gosh, thanks guys!
sry if i'm commenting too much, lol. I was just wondering if any of your poetry books are published in the US. I want to read something else you wrote wile i wait for the singing to come out. :)
Yeah, we're probably getting really annoying, coming on here and making you turn a deeper shade of red each time. :D
I have one question: I will soon be entering an excerpt of my book in a writing competition, and I was wondering if you could just check out what I've written on my blog? If you can't, that's fine, but it would be SO awesome if you could!
Hi Rain - Sadly, I really can't read all the work that people ask me to - I simply don't have the time, or the energy! I've had to make that decision across the board, in order to be fair. But keep on working, and the best of luck.
I love these books. The moment I picked up the Naming I fell madly in love with them. I think you're the best, Alison Croggon! You put real books back in fantasy, and gave me another series to wait anxiously for them to come out. You've inspired me to write and keep going, and I think you're the best!
